Livingston Christian Schools 5th Grade March 29-April 2

Bible: In II Samuel, we see David as King of Israel and learn more about his positive character triats. He was said to be a man after God's own heart. Bible quiz 20 is set for Tuesday, March 30. Proverbs 3:1-8 test is scheduled for Thursday, April 1.

Spelling: List 25 words are physical fitness terms. Spelling sentences are due Wednesday, March 31. The pre-test is set for Tuesday while the final test is scheduled for Thursday, April 1. The following words are on this week's list:

Language Arts: The reading selection this week is entitled Buffalo Hunt, pgs. 134-155. As we read the text, we see the author's use of elaboration through providing facts. The comprehension quiz is due Thursday, April 1.

We will wrap up our grammar unit on apostrophes, colons, and semicolons for a test on Thursday, April 1.

Writing Workshop time will be devoted to completing the writing of our class research project. Later, each student will design their own research project and perform an experiement. More info. will be provided in the coming weeks.

Math: We will review chapter 9 geometry material. The test will be set for Wednesday, March 31.

History: During the Revolutionary War the Continental Army overcame great obstacles to turn the war in its favor. The Colonial army had limited supplies compared to the British, but Washington's leadership during the winter at Valley Forge provided great courage and help for the soldiers.

Science: We will continue to work on writing our class research project on paper toweling
